Continuing its leadership position in the 7" touchscreen display market, Xenarc Technologies became the first company to release 7" touchscreen with capacitive touch display, featuring an industry-best 1024x600 native resolution panel.
Heeding the call of many industrial integrators, the 700CSH utilizes projected capacitive sensing, which provides a more responsive and ruggedized touch interface than resistive touch. It achieves this by using the capacitance of human skin (which essentially conducts electricity) to detect the proximity or position of the input. Proximity sensing allows the touch interface to work even if protective glass or coating is used over the display.
The technology also provides improved convenience by supporting multi-point touch gesture control. Furthermore, it also offers better optical clarity over resistive touchscreen. The panel boasts a brightness of 500 cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 400:1.
